 LecturesJohn Urquhart is available to lecture or to arrange lectures at schools, colleges and similar establishments or to conduct battlefield tours. If he is for any reason unable personally to conduct the lecture or tour on the battle requested, then he will make every effort to procure the services of a competent lecturer. Fees normally range from £300 + expenses. |
 Events John Urquhart has years of experience in staging corporate events and will do the same for historical societies or other interested parties. Core skills include marketing, ticketing, reception, on-site management, welcoming and closing addresses and business management. Call to discuss each case individually. |
Biographical Information John Urquhart was an infantry officer from 1962-1981. He commanded companies in both The Gordon Highlanders and 2nd Goorkhas and attended the Army Staff College at Camberley. His experience as an Instructor at The School of Infantry and as Brigade Major of an Airportable Brigade gave him a deep insight into the practical realities of soldiering. He spent the next 21 years in business, during the last 5 of which he studied for a degree in History, obtaining First Class Honours. Military history has always been a consuming interest and he now indulges his passion for the subject by writing, lecturing and broadcasting as well as researching further campaigns. |
